About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Accounting Operations team. This is an individual contributor role for someone who can work independently, own accounting processes and projects, solve complex issues, and partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage accounting tasks, priorities, and deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Own end-to-end accounting processes and projects, including planning, milestones, tracking, and delivery.
- Analyze complex accounting and operational issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
- Provide guidance, training, and best practices to peers and junior team members.
- Partner with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Analyze business and operational impacts and recommend improvements to accounting procedures.
- Monitor process performance and contribute to department goals through effective execution and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure work is completed in accordance with established policies and controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5 years of professional experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience in accounting operations, finance operations, or transaction processing.
- Ability to work independently and manage end-to-end processes or projects.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing process improvements and monitoring KPIs or operational metrics.
- Experience training or coaching peers and junior team members.
- Experience working in a structured or controlled financial operations environment.
