What You’ll Do as a Commercial Transit Vehicle Operator:
As a Commercial Transit Vehicle Operator, you will:
- Safely operate company vehicles on scheduled passenger routes
- Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
- Maintain a clean, professional vehicle and report maintenance needs promptly
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety standards
- Assist passengers with boarding, exiting, and luggage as needed
- Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding delays, service updates, or route changes
- Accurately complete trip logs, inspection reports, and fuel documentation
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to address vehicle concerns
- Complete additional duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For as a Commercial Transit Vehicle Operator:
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three years of CDL or passenger transportation experience (preferred)
- Strong driving record with a commitment to safety and customer service
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Valid CDL license
- State Inspection License
- Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical
