The Physical Therapist Assistant will deliver skilled therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Treatment focuses on functional mobility, gait training, balance therapy, and strengthening for patients with orthopedic, neurological, and age-related conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy treatments based on established plans of care
- Assist with therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, and functional activities
- Perform balance training and fall prevention interventions
- Monitor patient response and communicate progress to supervising Physical Therapist
- Instruct patients in home exercise programs to support functional independence
- Maintain accurate, timely, and Medicare-compliant documentation of all patient encounters
- Ensure patient safety and proper use of equipment during all interventions
