We are seeking a dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team at PT by the Sea, Inc in Wrightsville Beach. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring they receive exceptional service while supporting our mission of promoting health and wellness in the community.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations efficiently through our EMR Heno.
- Handle medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process insurance verifications and medical collections accurately.
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure accurate data entry into EMR systems.
- Collaborate with physical therapy healthcare providers to facilitate smooth patient care.
- Address patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
- Support administrative tasks as needed to enhance clinic operations.
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration preferred.
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding (CPT, ICD-9/ICD-10).
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
