The Front Desk Receptionist provides superb customer service to patients & staff and support for the office, independently and with minimal supervision.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- To create a positive and professional first impression of the practice and to show the patients a “we care” attitude.
- Schedule appointments and answer multiple phones lines.
- Ensure all required patient paperwork is compiled for that day’s appointments.
- Collect co-pays and past balances at check-in
- Reviews for completeness and accuracy and then enters required patient demographics and clinical information.
- Take pictures of patients for chart and collect insurance card(s) front and back.
General Responsibilities
_____Answers telephone promptly and directs or takes a message accordingly
_____Sanitize/tidies the reception area/lobby DAILY
_____Checks patients in and out of the institution and schedules appointments as appropriate
_____Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal/financial information
_____Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; adapts to changes as needed
_____Keep accurate till for change and collections
_____Maintains new and updated demographic and patient portal information by keying this information into our systems.
_____Work as a team to help each other in their duties as appropriate
_____ Scan all documents into the patients EMR
_____ Process all medical records requests
