The Staff Accountant position is an integral part of PMC’s Corporate Finance and Administration department. The position is responsible for computing and preparing data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions and payroll administration.

Description
The Staff Accountant position is an integral part of PMC’s Corporate Finance and Administration department. The position is responsible for computing and preparing data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; performs day-to-day general accounting functions and payroll administration.
Duties And Responsibilities
The Staff Accountant's duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Records cash transactions and reconciles bank accounts
- Reviews and processes expenses in the expense management system
- Records various journal entries across multiple entities
- Reconciles general ledger accounts at the entity and consolidated level
- Files miscellaneous tax returns and ensures compliance with reporting and filing requirements
- Reviews and processes contract labor expenses
- Prepares annual 1099 filings
- Monitors routine expenses and performs expense accruals
- Prepares monthly expense analyses
- Prepares ad hoc research and analyses
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent in a related field required.
- Experience: One to three years of related experience preferred. Entry-level considered.

- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

- Proficient in commonly used Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience with NetSuite system/software, preferred.
