About being our CAD Drafter
As our CAD Drafter, you will utilize your expertise to transform initial rough product designs using computer aided design (CAD) into working documents for civil projects consisting of water, roadway and utility design. Prepare preliminary and final maps, BIM models, plans, exhibits and digital data files using the appropriate CAD drafting program. Prepare engineering drawing and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. Assist in creating base design drawings from agreed work scope and support other team members, as needed.
Responsibility Highlights for our CAD Drafter
- Preparing preliminary and final maps, BIM models, plans, exhibits and digital data files using appropriate CAD drafting program
- Arranging engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence of established state, city, and county specifications and standards
- Assisting in creating base design drawings from agreed work scope.
- Troubleshooting and resolving 3D software application issues and implementing solutions
- Supporting other team members as needed to meet project timelines
Minimum Qualifications to be our CAD Drafter
- Associate Degree or Trade School Certification
- 5 years' experience in civil design with knowledge of Civil3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks and BIM 360
- Ability to multitask and work well in team environment
Preferred Qualifications for our CAD Drafter
- Knowledge of Land Surveying, Architectural, Structural, Geospatial Awareness and Civil Engineering terms
- Knowledge of GIS, Revit and MicroStation
- Experience in processing field data and electronic files
