Duties
- Measure and prepare surfaces accurately for flooring installation using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation instructions to execute precise flooring layouts
- Install various flooring materials such as tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and resilient flooring with attention to detail
- Perform surface preparation tasks including leveling, water damage restoration, concrete finishing, and floor care maintenance
- Execute trim carpentry, caulking, fixture installation, cabinet installation, and remodeling tasks as needed to complete projects seamlessly
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials while adhering to safety protocols
- Conduct restoration work on floors affected by water damage or wear, ensuring long-lasting results
- Assist with construction estimating by assessing project scope and material requirements for accurate job planning
Experience
- Proven experience in flooring installation across residential or commercial sites with a strong understanding of construction practices
- Hands-on experience with caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and surface restoration industry standards
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers along with power tools including drills and buffing equipment
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist in project planning and material procurement
- Background in construction site experience with an emphasis on safety procedures and efficient workflow management
- Additional experience in maintenance person services like painting or concrete finishing is a plus but not required
