Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging activities that promote physical development, incorporating flooring solutions suitable for various age groups including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment by selecting appropriate flooring materials that support mobility, comfort, and safety standards.
- Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, and transitions to ensure their safety at all times.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that integrate sensory-friendly flooring options to enhance learning experiences.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and environmental considerations related to flooring safety or comfort.
- Follow mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure compliance with childcare regulations.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in childhood development instruction, classroom management, and flooring safety standards relevant to early childhood settings.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar early childhood education environments.
- Knowledge of child development instruction principles and behavior management techniques.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, and child safety protocols required or willing to obtain upon hire.
- Strong classroom experience with an emphasis on child supervision and safety procedures.
- Familiarity with early childhood education best practices, including toddler care and infant care.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to manage classroom environments effectively while ensuring safety through appropriate flooring choices that support mobility and reduce injury risk.
