A leading women’s fashion retailer is seeking an Assistant Swimwear Designer to join their Manhattan-based team. This is a hands-on, collaborative role supporting the creation of trend-driven swim collections for a high-volume retail environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support the design and execution of seasonal swimwear collections
- Translate concepts into technical flats using Adobe Illustrator
- Conduct trend research and contribute to color, print, and fabric direction
- Assist in fittings and partner with Technical Design to refine product
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Raw Materials, and Production teams
- Maintain organized design documentation and sample tracking
What You Bring
- 3-5 years of design experience (swimwear or intimates preferred)
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Knowledge of swimwear construction, stretch fabrics, and fit principles
- Strong aesthetic aligned with modern, feminine, and trend-forward design
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Salary : $35 - $40
