The Natural Gas Utility Engineer will perform work on projects that are part of a large-scale natural gas distribution infrastructure improvement program. This program’s goal is to accelerate the rate at which the utility will replace its aging pipeline.

Position Summary
The Natural Gas Utility Engineer will perform work on projects that are part of a large-scale natural gas distribution infrastructure improvement program. This program’s goal is to accelerate the rate at which the utility will replace its aging pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Interprets data, searches for records regarding natural gas facilities.
- Prepares construction plans including proposed natural gas pipeline installation route.
- Conducts field visits to observe site conditions and provide full analysis of project route.
- Selects residential and commercial services based on previous conditions and future load requirements.
- Follows regulatory compliance with the pipeline safety regulations.
- Creates GIS map displaying project limits and details.
- Estimates a bill of materials for project.
- Prepares Road Opening Permits when applicable including traffic control plans.
- Facilitates project status meetings with client.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required, Civil Engineering is preferred
- 0-2 years’ experience is preferred
- Available to work 40 hours per week initially in person
- Travel is required
- Must be able to work with limited supervision and guidance, both independently and/or as a member of a team
- Self-starter with problem solving abilities
- AutoCAD experience required
- MS Office proficiency and effective communication skills required.

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
