Position overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operations Intern to join our team at our Cables facility. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a manufacturing setting, working closely with our manufacturing operations team to improve processes, enhance product quality, and increase efficiency.

- Analyze and interpret manufacturing performance data daily to ensure that correct decisions are made to support desired outcome.
- Coordinate efforts with area supervisors and team leads within manufacturing operation to meet/exceed: Labor, material, and other variable cost performance goals.
- Respond to associate issues in either a particular function, or, a group of processes in the manufacturing of elevator cables.
- Assist in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes for cable and wire process.
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify areas for process improvement.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and process, to resolve technical issues.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address process challenges.
- Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and analyze process data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Currently pursuing a relevant degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Hands-on experience in a real-world manufacturing environment.
