What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Automation Electronics Technician position at Prysmian?
Day-in-the-life: Keep Williamsport running
Prysmian builds the systems that power cities and connect people—from high-voltage transmission to fiber optics. In our Williamsport facility, you’ll be the go-to expert safeguarding uptime on complex electrical and electronic controls that keep production moving.
What your day might look like
You start with a quick safety huddle, then jump into a controls fault on a production line. With schematics in one hand and an oscilloscope in the other, you trace signals, isolate the issue, and return the machine to service. After lunch, you fine-tune AC and DC drive parameters for quality, collaborate with operators, and advise a contractor on a controls upgrade. You draft a small circuit modification, prepare requisitions for parts, and close the day by updating documentation, backing up PLC programs to a secure location, and sharing lessons learned with the team.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $38.21–$40.10
