In this role, you’ll take designs from idea to reality, drafting, refining, and perfecting patterns that align with the brands fit and production needs. This role will collaborate with designers, technical developers, and factory partners to ensure every silhouette comes to life exactly as intended.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft and digitize precise patterns using CAD software to move styles from concept to approved production.
- Review prototypes and fittings to identify fit or balance issues and make the necessary pattern adjustments.
- Interpret technical specs and construction notes, ensuring accuracy across all pattern iterations.
- Communicate clearly with overseas vendors to confirm details and troubleshoot pattern or construction concerns.
- Prepare accurate digital files and documentation for bulk manufacturing.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to keep projects on schedule and production-ready.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or equivalent training in Patternmaking, Apparel Design, or Product Development.
- 5 years’ experience creating and finalizing production patterns for contemporary or luxury apparel.
- Strong command of garment construction, sewing techniques, and grading principles.
- Proficiency in Gerber, Tuka, or similar CAD software.
- Experience across multiple fabrications, particularly wovens and knits.
- Collaborative energy, strong communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
