Work schedule for this position will be 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., July 14–17 and July 21–23.

Position Summary
A lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment in and around the school swimming pool during classes, athletic practices, competitions, and recreational activities. The Lifeguard actively monitors swimmers, enforces pool rules, prevents accidents, and responds to emergencies as needed. This position supports student safety, promotes responsible aquatic behavior, and helps ensure compliance with school and aquatic safety standards.

Primary Role and Responsibilities
· Monitor pool activities and maintain constant surveillance of students and staff around the aquatic facility.
· Enforce school and pool safety rules, policies, and procedures.
· Recognize hazardous conditions and take appropriate action to prevent accidents and injuries.
· Respond promptly and effectively to aquatic and non-aquatic emergencies.
· Administer first aid, CPR, AED, and water rescue techniques as required.
· Inspect and maintain rescue equipment, first aid supplies, and safety devices.
· Support physical education classes, swim programs

Education and Experience
· Current Lifeguard certification from a recognized organization.
· Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.

· Ability to swim proficiently and perform water rescues.
· Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and remain alert for extended periods.
