JOB SUMMARY

General Description

Responsible for the cleaning, sanitation, waste removal, and floor care of all public and common areas of the hospital campus. Provides a clean sanitary, comfortable, orderly and satisfying environment for the patients, employees and general public.

Responsibility

Performs routine duties of cleaning and sanitizing patient and non-patient areas of the hospital facilities. Establishes and maintains a regular scheduled cleaning program throughout the hospital. Maintains patient care areas, and other clinical areas that require a high level of sanitation.

Accountability

Housekeeper reports directly to the Environmental Services Supervisor and to the Facilities Manager.

Special Demands

Mental: Willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis. Ability to accept supervision from a number of persons.

Physical: Ability to perform tasks despite numerous interruptions. Pushing, bending, stooping, reaching; on feet most of the day.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Experience helpful but not required. On the job training will be provided.

Working Environment

Works inside hospital facility and Clinic Building as scheduled. Mainly day shift working 40 hours per week but may have to cover evening shift. Will rotate working holidays and weekends and on-call according to schedule.

Salary Range and Benefits

$16.29 – $20.03 per hour based on experience. This is a fulltime benefitted position that includes, paid time off, holiday pay, sick time pay. Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, and automatic enrollment in retirement plan with employer match.
