Part-Time Position

JOB SUMMARY

General Description

Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Manager and the Acute Care Services Manager, the EKG Tech is responsible for providing Cardiopulmonary services in accordance with specific physician’s orders, and department policies and procedures.

Responsibility

Demonstrates achievement of age-specific competencies as evidenced by successful completion of staff training modules related to the ages of the patients served. Functions to establish priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available unit resources of time, personnel, equipment and supplies.

Accountability

The EKG Tech reports directly to the Cardiopulmonary Manager.

Special Demands

Mental: Astute communication skills with employees, physicians, visitors, administration and public. Ability to adjust to job situations that involve many different people and projects, requiring some independent action and judgment.

Physical: Must have the ability and competency to operate the equipment of his/her position; perform technical procedures; speak intelligently and in a professional manner before others; and exercise supervision and management skills.

Qualifications

Education: High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Current CPR Certification.

Working Environment

Part time position working 24 hours per week 12-hour shifts working 6:00am to 6:00pm may rotate weekends and holidays. Shift differential available.

Salary Range

$17.76-$19.99 per hour based on experience. This is a part-time benefitted position that includes, paid time off, paid sick time, holiday pay, Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, life and disability insurance and automatic enrollment in retirement plan with employer match.
