Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Madisonville, KY. This role is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing residential and light commercial heating and air conditioning systems. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing system issues, performing routine and preventive maintenance, completing repairs, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently. The technician will interact directly with customers, explain findings and solutions in clear terms, and document all work performed. This role also involves following company safety procedures, using appropriate tools and test equipment, and collaborating with team members to meet service schedules and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose heating and air conditioning system issues accurately.
- Experience performing maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance on a variety of HVAC equipment.
- Knowledge of EPA regulations and possession of EPA certification for handling refrigerants or willingness to obtain it.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction, with effective communication and customer service skills.
- Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude, including safe use of tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in and around Madisonville, KY.
- Ability to work on-site, lift moderate weights, and perform tasks in varying weather and indoor conditions.
- Prior experience as an HVAC service technician or completion of relevant vocational training or apprenticeship is preferred.
