IT Support Specialist
This role will partner closely with internal IT staff to support, maintain, and enhance the organization’s hardware, software, and infrastructure environments. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for employees across hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
- Install, support, and maintain server and network infrastructure components.
- Respond to and resolve help desk incidents and service requests while meeting established SLA expectations.
- Monitor system performance, identify issues, and perform troubleshooting to ensure operational stability.
- Perform software updates, hardware upgrades, and routine system maintenance.
- Assist with end-user training and provide guidance on hardware and software functionality.
- Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and support activities.
- Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and IT best practices.
Qualifications & Technical Skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in an IT support or technical support environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills with the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Working knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server, and Microsoft SQL environments.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 technologies including Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, and Azure.
- Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms such as Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix, and AWS.
- Exposure to enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Basic scripting knowledge in PowerShell and/or SQL preferred.
- Experience supporting ERP or EDI systems is a plus.
- Understanding of system security, database maintenance, and performance monitoring.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and evolving business needs.
