Surgery Scheduler

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to join a quality specialty office located in Spokane, WA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating surgical appointments, ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient service. This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Duties Will Include But Not Limited To:

• Schedule surgical procedures by coordinating with surgeons, patients, and other healthcare staff.
• Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy before scheduling.
• Maintain an organized schedule for multiple surgeons and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and appointment confirmations.
• Handle incoming calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
• Assist with clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
• Collaborate with medical billing staff to ensure proper coding and billing for surgical services.
• Provide administrative support at the front desk as needed.
  
  

Skills

• Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as EPIC is preferred.
• Strong patient service skills with the ability to empathize and communicate effectively with diverse populations.
• Experience in a dental office or medical environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical billing processes and terminology is beneficial.
• Excellent clerical skills including attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with medical administrative support functions will be advantageous.
