Duties
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physiology evaluations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following medical orders and safety protocols.
- Perform venipuncture and IV insertions with precision to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies by executing CPR, AED operation, and acute care procedures in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for diverse patient populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, trauma patients, and those in urgent or outpatient care settings.
- Maintain meticulous medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards and nursing policy requirements.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ families, providing education on treatment plans, post-care instructions, and addressing concerns with empathy.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) issued by the State Board of Nursing.
- Proven experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience), or related acute care environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient data and medical records management.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and nursing practices aligned with State Nursing Practice Acts.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safety standards for patient transfer and mobility assistance.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), First Aid, CPR, and AED operation required; additional certifications such as IV insertion or medication administration are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with infection control protocols, HIPAA compliance, and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction in school clinic settings or outpatient environments; ability to work collaboratively within clinical teams is essential.

Pay: $26.59 - $32.02 per hour
