Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is seeking a Family Medicine with Obstetrics (OB) Hospitalist for a Per Diem opportunity in Kodiak, Alaska. This role is primarily focused on inpatient care, including comprehensive obstetric services, within a close-knit, mission-driven care team.
Kodiak offers a unique practice environment where physicians provide broad-spectrum inpatient care in a small, adventurous community surrounded by stunning natural beauty. You will collaborate closely with local primary care providers to ensure seamless inpatient management and care transitions.
* Inpatient care focused role, including adult medicine, pediatrics, and obstetrics
* Strong emphasis on obstetric care, including surgical obstetric coverage (required)
* Per Diem schedule with 12-hour on-site shifts plus 12-hour on-call coverage
* Collaborative environment supporting continuity of care from admission through discharge
* Minimum 2 years of experience, including obstetrics
* Comfortable providing full-scope inpatient care, including OB and surgical obstetrics
* Physicians with Alaska experience or ties are encouraged to apply

Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is the sole provider of acute and emergency care for Kodiak Island. Accredited by The Joint Commission and designated as a Level IV trauma center by the State of Alaska, this 25-bed critical-access hospital plays an indispensable role in the lives of 14,000 Kodiak residents, the Coast Guard base and neighboring villages.
