Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible full-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join its Behavioral Health Primary Care Clinic in Kamuela, Hawaii.
This is an outpatient role focused on serving child and adolescent patients with the opportunity to see some adults as needed. The ideal candidate would have 5 or more years of experience and comfortable working in a rural environment. On Hawai’i’s Big Island, Queen’s North Hawai’i Community Hospital is a 35-bed rural acute-care facility that serves Waimea and surrounding communities. Part of The Queen’s Health Systems, Queen’s North Hawai’i Community Hospital has over 300 employees and more than a dozen physicians who serve the main hospital as well as outpatient clinics at Lucy Henriques Medical Center. The Level III Trauma Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and is a designated Baby-Friendly birth facility.

Position Details:
- Full time position
- Operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Outpatient care only
- Supported by 3 providers and other support staff
- Pediatric/Adolescent medication management and long-acting injectable management
- No call requirement
- Typically see 8 to 10 patients per day with the opportunity to inherit a patient panel or build your own
- Compensation is between $324,960 and $357,456 per year
- $25,000 relocation assistance
- CME funds and days
- Benefits include health, vision, dental and retirement
- Must be board-certified/board-eligible MD/DO in the state of Hawaii
- 5 years of experience preferred
- Experience or certifications in Pediatric/Adolescent medication management
- Comfortable working in a rural environment
