What are the responsibilities and job description for the APRN EHCC Float position at Provider Services?
Summary
Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staff model HMO, is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner This position is three 12-hour shifts / 36 hours weekly, with a rotating 4-hour shift on Saturday. The Advanced Practice Practitioner shall provide necessary and appropriate urgent care services, within the scope of their training and experience. Responsibilities and expectations include the following:
* Provides care to patients across all age groups
* Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.)
* Foreign body removal
* Laceration repair, Suturing skills
* Abscess I & D
* Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures
* DOT Certification required
* Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter's physical, etc.) preferred
* Epic EMR experience
* Worker's Comp Experience preferred
Qualifications
* APRN, NP License
* DEA License
* Minimum 3 years' post licensing experience, working independently, in family medicine, urgent care clinics or a combination
* Graduate of an accredited program, APRN, NP, or PA program
