Summary
Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staff model HMO, is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner This position is three 12-hour shifts / 36 hours weekly, with a rotating 4-hour shift on Saturday. The Advanced Practice Practitioner shall provide necessary and appropriate urgent care services, within the scope of their training and experience. Responsibilities and expectations include the following:
- Provides care to patients across all age groups
- Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (Chest Pain, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, etc.)
- Foreign body removal
- Laceration repair, Suturing skills
- Abscess I & D
- Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures
- DOT Certification required
- Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighter’s physical, etc.) preferred
- Epic EMR experience
- Worker’s Comp Experience preferred
Qualifications
- APRN, NP License
- DEA License
- Minimum 3 years’ post licensing experience, working independently, in family medicine, urgent care clinics or a combination
- Graduate of an accredited program, APRN, NP, or PA program
