Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Inpatient Behavioral Health, primarily working in the Emergency Department Behavioral Health Suite.
Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, develop and evaluate care plans, monitor and document patient conditions, and collaborate across disciplines for patient transfer, admission, discharge, and psychosocial needs. Educate patients and families tailored to their age, culture, and circumstances. Delegate tasks effectively and may precept students and new staff.
Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of three years of acute care RN experience with behavioral health patients, valid Maine RN license or ability to obtain, and BLS certification (MOAB preferred). Must demonstrate flexibility, critical thinking, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
