Job Summary
Providence Plumbing is seeking a skilled and motivated Plumbing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential service plumbing with some commercial experience. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various plumbing systems and fixtures in homes and businesses. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure our clients receive top-notch service.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, water heaters, and related equipment in residential and commercial settings.
- Diagnose plumbing problems and provide solutions in an efficient and professional manner.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project completion on time.
- Keep up-to-date with local plumbing codes and industry best practices.
- Prepare estimates for plumbing repairs and installations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Complete paperwork accurately and on time, including work orders and job logs.
- Provide excellent customer service by clearly explaining issues and solutions to clients.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide after-hours/on-call services as required.
- Work independently and as part of a team, maintaining professionalism on job sites.
Skills
- Experience in residential plumbing (commercial experience is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and fixtures.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to work on-call, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Must be physically able to perform job duties, including lifting heavy objects, working in tight spaces, and climbing ladders.
- Strong competency using an iPad / mobile device.
- Willingness to attend brief technical training sessions.
- Prior use of Housecall Pro is an asset.
