The Crowne Plaza Hotel located in Ventura Beach California is looking for a hospitality personality who will "Dare to Connect" with our guests. The property is renowned in the Ventura Beach community, boasting the only beach front property between Malibu, CA, and Santa Barbara, CA. It is just two blocks from historic downtown Ventura, making it easily accessible to explore all the area has to offer.

SUMMARY: The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of catering sales to include development, planning, and performance of all sales duties related to their assigned market. Successfully negotiates and closes sales that will maximize space and achieve/exceed catering goals. Listen to guest needs, analyze information and create custom proposals that exceed guest expectations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for generating and maintaining client relationships
- Review catering contracts and relay the proper information to other departments within the hotel
- Heavy external and internal guest contact
- Generate conference revenue with an eye on exceeding goals
- Actively pursue business accounts
- Ensure contracts are completed and executed accurately
- Provide exceptional service to new and existing accounts
- Create and implement action plans to increase a base of sales
- Conduct site tours with potential clients
- Strong communication and responsive nature
- Ambassador and representative for the hotel as a whole
- Professional, friendly, and self-motivated
- Attention to details and follow through
- Effective organizational skills
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed
- Must have proven selling, negotiating and presentation skills
- Requires knowledge of advanced sales techniques
- Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook
- The ability to delegate, effectively train and coach employees
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
