CNC Operator responsible for setting up and running horizontal and vertical mills, ensuring tight tolerances and maintaining tooling. Works 2nd shift and handles offsets, program edits, and quality checks. Earns $24-29 per hour and receives benefits after 30 days.
2nd Shift | 4p-2a | 4 day work weeks | OT as desired
Key Responsibilities:Set up CNCs (Mazak verticals and horizontals, MultiCam router)
Touch off tools, set work offsets, and edit programs to improve cycle times
Hold tolerances of ±0.003" and verify with calipers, ID/OD mics, depth mics, and gauge pins
Read blueprints, including GD&T, and perform in-process quality checks
Detect out-of-tolerance trends and correct machine issues early
Manage tooling: change-outs, inserts, boring bars, fixtures, and tool inventory
Perform basic preventive maintenance such as coolant, way oil, and cleaning
Cross-train across every machine on the floor
1 year setting up multi-axis CNC mills or routers (vertical and horizontal preferred)
Hands-on experience with offsets, tool touch-off, and blueprint reading
Comfort with precision measuring tools and GD&T
Willingness to work overtime when production calls for it
CNC Mill (Horizontal and/or Vertical) operation experience
Offset adjustments ability
