Position Overview
PTC is seeking a Training Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong background as a military training instructor. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in training delivery and curriculum development, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe software. This role supports the technical analysis, logistics planning, and lifecycle sustainment of Navy training systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise on Navy training systems and instructional methodologies
- Support the development, evaluation, and revision of training materials and system documentation
- Collaborate with engineering and logistics teams to ensure training system alignment with operational requirements
- Analyze training system performance and recommend improvements
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe tools
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain
- Prior experience as a U.S. military training instructor (805A / 9502 NEC or equivilent preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat/Creative Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Navy training systems acquisition or sustainment
- Familiarity with Instructional Systems Design (ISD) or ADDIE methodology
- Knowledge of Navy training platforms and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
- Familiarity with web-based curriculum development (e.g. AIM, AIM II, LMO, etc.)
- Certified Master Training Specialist (MTS) or equivalent qualification (preferred)
