What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Electrician position at ProTrade LLC?
ProTrade is partnering with an electrical contractor on a new build manufacturing facility project in Sanford, NC. This is a ground-up commercial project with steady, consistent work for experienced Journeyman Electricians who are ready to get to work.
The Project
You'll be working on a brand new manufacturing facility build — this is heavy commercial electrical work from the ground up including:
- Installation, maintenance, and repair of low-voltage and high-voltage electrical distribution systems
- Heavy conduit work — EMT and rigid metal conduit installation throughout the facility
- Fitting and testing switchboards, transformers, circuit breakers, panel boxes, and lighting and control systems
- Basic frame carpentry for mounting electrical backboards, conduit racks, and installation supports
- Reading blueprints and schematics while maintaining full compliance with NEC and local NC electrical codes
What We're Looking For
- Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 5 years of documented commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Proficient with EMT and rigid conduit bending and installation
- Able to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Strong knowledge of NEC code and local NC code requirements
- Valid Driver's License required
- Reliable, professional, and safety-minded
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Tools You'll Need to Bring
- Standard electrician's tool pouch — insulated pliers/cutters, wire strippers, screwdrivers, conduit benders (1/2" & 3/4"), measuring tape, torpedo level
- Cordless drill/impact driver and hammer drill
- Digital multimeter (CAT III/IV rated), voltage detector, circuit tracer
PPE Requirements
- Hard hat (ANSI approved)
- Work boots
- Cut-resistant work gloves
- Safety glasses and high-visibility vest provided on site if needed
Salary : $26 - $29
