A nationally recognized Magnet-designated healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to join a high-volume Sterile Processing Department supporting over 20 ORs, including Day Surgery, OR, and CVOR services.

• Position: Sterile Processing Technician

• Location: Milwaukee, WI

• Experience Required: Minimum 3 years acute care SPD experience

• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

SPD supports:

• Day Surgery

• Main OR

• CVOR

• 20 Operating Rooms

High-volume exposure to:

• Orthopedics

  • Total joints

  • Sports medicine

  • Trauma

• Neuro

  • AVMs

  • Shunts

  • EVDs

  • Craniotomies

• ENT

  • Stealth sinus surgeries

  • T&As

• Spine

• Plastics

• Vascular

• Laparoscopic procedures

• DaVinci robotics

• GI / GU

• OBGYN

Candidates must have experience with:

• Decontamination

• Instrument assembly

• Sterilization processing

• Loaner tray/pan processing

• No case picking required

• No endoscope processing

  • Only bronchoscopy scopes and ureteroscopes

• Travelers rotate through specialties and spend time in each service line

• No certifications required

• EMR: Epic

• Tracking System: SPM

• Steris equipment throughout department

• Inspection stations equipped with:

  • Microscopes

  • Blacklights

  • Magnifiers

• Lead Tech and Liaison available on each shift

• Dedicated Educator for Days/Eves

• Manager/Supervisor onsite during day shift

• Team-oriented environment - never working alone

• New Employee Orientation (NEO)

• Up to 1 week of department orientation

• Days: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

• Mids: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM

• Nights: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

• Monday - Friday schedule

• No weekends

• No on-call

• No holiday requirements
