Key Responsibilities
Student & Family Support:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students
- Conduct social history evaluations and maintain updates
- Deliver crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Partner with families to support student success
- Connect families with community resources and provide education
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff
- Develop and implement behavioral intervention plans and tiered supports
- Participate in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings
- Collaborate with external providers and community organizations
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation
- Participate in professional development and team collaboration
- Support school-wide initiatives, including data collection and continuous improvement efforts
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Active NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Eligibility for NYS School Social Worker certification
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic approaches (CBT, solution-focused therapy)
- Experience with crisis intervention and behavioral support
- NYS School Social Worker certification
- LCSW or LCSW-R
- Prior school-based experience
- Experience in charter/public schools or urban communities
- TCIS certification (or trainer certification)
- Student-centered counseling and mental health assessment
- Crisis intervention and emotional regulation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Cultural competency and commitment to equity and inclusion

Salary : $54,600 - $74,600
