Summary

The RN will provide clinical assessments, medication and treatment management, care coordination, staff supervision and competency validation, health monitoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments, physical examinations, health-status reviews, and ongoing reassessments.
- Identify changes in condition and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments within the RN scope of practice and according to physician orders.
- Review medication and treatment records and monitor for errors, adverse reactions, refusals, and omissions.
- Coordinate physician appointments, referrals, diagnostic testing, pharmacy services, and follow-up care.
- Participate in Individual Program Plans (IPPs), medical care plans, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
- Monitor infection-control practices, medical equipment, supplies, emergency preparedness, and client safety.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, guardians, direct-care staff, pharmacy, social work/QIDP, administrators, and other healthcare professionals.
Required
- Graduate of an approved or accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Current, active, unrestricted New Mexico RN license or valid multistate privilege to practice in New Mexico.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Current First Aid certification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent direct-care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between nearby residential locations.
