Duties

• Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
• Provide medication counseling and education to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive patient care plans.
• Manage inventory effectively, ensuring that medications are stocked, stored properly, and expired items are removed.
• Supervise Pharmacy Technicians in their duties, providing guidance on medication dispensing and patient interactions.
• Compound medications as necessary in accordance with established standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of all medication transactions and patient interactions in compliance with legal requirements.
• Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and best practices in clinical pharmacy to enhance patient care.
  
  

Requirements

• Valid pharmacist license.
• Experience in medication administration and patient care is preferred.
• Familiarity with aseptic technique and compounding medications is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
• Strong organizational skills for managing inventory and pharmacy systems efficiently.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
