Practice Setting: Outpatient Facility
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments.
- Obtain detailed medical histories and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and therapeutic treatments within the California Nurse Practitioner scope of practice.
- Provide preventive care services, including:
- Annual wellness examinations
- Immunizations
- Health screenings
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certification.
- Minimum 1-2 years of outpatient primary care experience required.
- Experience in rural health or community health is preferred.
- Strong communication, clinical assessment, and patient education skills.
- Current California Nurse Practitioner License.
- National Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANCC or AANP).
- California Furnishing Number.
- Active DEA Registration.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
- Eligible for Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Partnership HealthPlan credentialing.
