This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to drive investment strategy, structure transactions, and ensure high-quality financial analysis and reporting. The position plays a key role in decision-making, risk management, and overall financial performance of development projects.

Job Roles And Responsibilities

Leadership and Operations

• Collaborate with internal teams to align financial and operational strategies
• Improve financial systems, workflows, and processes for scalability
• Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of financial outputs
• Identify risks and provide proactive solutions
  
  

Financial Underwriting and Modeling

• Lead underwriting for development and acquisition or rehabilitation projects
• Build and maintain complex financial models across multiple capital structures
• Perform sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, and market evaluation
• Track market trends including financing, pricing, and construction costs
  
  

Capital Markets and Transactions

• Manage lender and investor outreach, including bid packages and term sheet analysis
• Review legal and financial documents including partnership and loan agreements
• Support full transaction lifecycle from underwriting to closing
  
  

Accounting Tax and Insurance Support

• Coordinate financial reporting, construction draws, and lender requirements
• Assist with tax structuring and insurance-related considerations
  
  

Asset Management

• Support investor and lender reporting post-closing
• Assist with budgeting and performance monitoring
• Identify opportunities to improve asset performance
  
  

Additional Responsibilities

• Resolve issues quickly to maintain timelines
• Develop financial tools and templates
• Support broader finance and development team needs
  
  

Qualifications And Certifications

• Strong experience in real estate finance, development, or capital markets
• Expertise in financial modeling and underwriting
• Experience with affordable housing and tax credit structures preferred
• Knowledge of debt and equity structures, including complex financing arrangements
• Ability to review legal and financial documentation
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
