Position Overview
The Miami Finance Forum (MFF) is seeking a dynamic, execution-oriented Part-Time Executive Director to lead the organization’s day-to-day operations, drive membership and sponsorship growth, and oversee the successful execution of its programming and events.
This role is ideal for a strategic operator who can balance big-picture leadership with hands-on execution, working closely with the Board of Directors to elevate MFF’s visibility, impact, and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
1. Organizational Leadership & Strategy
* Serve as the primary operational leader of MFF, working in close partnership with the Chair and Board
* Execute strategic priorities set by the Board, with a focus on membership growth, revenue generation, and programming
* Provide regular updates to leadership, including:
* Membership metrics and trends
* Financial updates and cash position
* Sponsorship pipeline and commitments
* Event performance and attendance
2. Membership Growth & Engagement
* Oversee and manage MFF’s membership platform (Wild Apricot)
* Drive new member acquisition and retention strategies
* Re-engage past members and lapsed contacts
* Support the development and growth of:
* Corporate memberships
* Young professional / student engagement initiatives
* Ensure members receive consistent value through programming and communications
3. Sponsorship & Revenue Development
* Lead sponsorship outreach and relationship management
* Execute sponsorship strategy aligned with MFF’s integrated membership/sponsorship structure
* Maintain and grow relationships with existing sponsors
* Identify and secure new corporate partners
* Track and manage sponsor deliverables and benefits fulfillment
4. Event & Program Management
* Oversee planning and execution of all MFF events, including:
* Network After Work (monthly series)
* Signature forums (e.g., Private Equity Breakfast, Venture Capital Forum, Exit Strategies Forum)
* Special events and partner activations
* Coordinate:
* Venue sourcing and logistics
* Run-of-show development
* Speaker coordination
* Registration and attendee experience
* Ensure events are professionally executed, financially sound, and aligned with MFF’s brand
5. Marketing & Communications
* Oversee communications strategy, including:
* Email newsletters
* Event promotions
* Membership campaigns
* Manage external marketing/PR partners (if applicable)
* Ensure consistent messaging that reinforces MFF as a premier finance community in Miami
6. Board & Committee Support
* Support Board operations, including:
* Meeting coordination and agendas
* Committee engagement and accountability
* Partner with Board Members on:
* Sponsorship outreach
* Membership recruitment
* Strategic initiatives
* Help drive a culture of “give and get” participation
7. Operations & Infrastructure
* Maintain and improve internal systems and processes
* Oversee:
* CRM and database management
* Event registration systems
* Financial tracking in coordination with Treasurer
* Ensure smooth coordination between vendors, partners, and stakeholders

* Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility based on event cycles

Qualifications
* 5 years experience in:
* Association management, nonprofit leadership, or event-driven organizations
* Corporate event planning, business development, or operations
* Proven ability to:
* Execute high-quality events and programs
* Drive sponsorship revenue and partnerships
* Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience working with boards or committees preferred
