Key Responsibilities
- Manage bankruptcy cases from assignment through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, notices, and proposed orders.
- Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, case law, and regulations.
- Attend bankruptcy hearings, litigation hearings, settlement conferences, and other court appearances.
- Maintain accurate case management records and ensure filing deadlines are met.
- Review work prepared by paralegals and legal support staff.
- Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and internal team members.
- Identify legal issues and recommend appropriate case strategies.
- Manage a high-volume caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Active New Jersey Bar admission.
- Admission to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
- 1-3 years of bankruptcy law and/or bankruptcy litigation experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Experience with electronic case management systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license.
