Quick Summary

Prototek is seeking an experienced Director of Human Resources to lead HR across our multi-site organization and serve as a trusted partner to executive leadership, managers and employees.

This is not a purely strategic leadership position. We are looking for a hands-on HR leader who is equally comfortable advising senior leadership, coaching managers through complex employee matters, leading organizational change, and rolling up their sleeves to ensure critical HR initiatives get completed.

The Director of HR will lead a team supporting HR business partnership, benefits, payroll and recruiting while maintaining direct involvement in key initiatives across employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits, HR systems and workforce planning. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and develop the HR team while establishing clear priorities and accountability
• Partner with executive and operational leaders on workforce strategy and organizational needs
• Lead complex employee relations matters, investigations and manager coaching
• Drive performance management, compensation, benefits and talent initiatives
• Support reorganizations, leadership transitions, workforce changes and other business transformations
• Develop meaningful workforce metrics and translate data into practical recommendations
• Manage HR vendors, budgets and external partners
• Travel to company locations as needed to stay connected to our teams and operations
  
  

REQUIREMENTS: (Preferred too)

• BS in Human Resources, Business or Related Field
• 10 years of progressive HR experience
• 5 years of management experience.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred
• Advanced working knowledge of employee relations, employment law, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, benefits, payroll, leave administration, HR systems, and workplace safety
• Proficient business judgment, conflict resolution, negotiation, written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
