Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Carlsbad, CA, for a CNC Machinist at Protoshop Inc. Responsibilities include collaborating with engineers to determine the best method to design and fabricate prototype molds, programming toolpaths in CAMWorks for prototype mold fabrication, setup and running of Haas CNC mills, and ensuring high-quality outputs through adherence to specifications. Other tasks include routine machine maintenance and shop floor tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven proficiency in Machine Operation and familiarity with CNC setup and monitoring
- Experience in Machining and Milling processes
- Knowledge of Quality Control techniques and attention to detail in ensuring product accuracy
- General understanding of Machinery and production tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training are a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment
- Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to safety
