Position Title: Supplier Project Engineer
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Supplier Project Engineer opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier performance through the application of project management tools and cost, schedule, submittal/deliverable, and resource oversight
- Facilitate supplier selection activities with requests for proposals (RFPs) and team review/selection processes in conjunction with the Contract Administrator through the full bid, evaluate, and award phase.
- Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure fidelity to contract and technical direction with the supplier.
- Develop statements of work (SOW) and project planning to execute supplier projects to meet program objectives.
- Coordinate the technical review process of supplier deliverables and ensure appropriate responses.
- Manage technical interfaces between supplier projects and the reactor technical team.
- Provide support to contract administration and commercial activities as needed to implement projects.
- Manage the submittal process between the supplier and the Reactor Team.
- Maintain awareness of supplier technical capabilities, organization changes, and relationships to ensure positive feedback to Reactor.
- 8 years’ experience in supplier oversight required
- A technical degree, preferably in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, systems, or civil engineering required
- Preference for experience in the procurement of electrical and instrumentation, or vessels and piping
- PMP certification or equivalent training preferred
- Experience in managing cost and schedule in Safety-Related manufacturing and construction
- Experience in the qualification of components and Commercial Grade Dedication
- Demonstrated skills in the technical direction of suppliers and in supporting contractual/commercial aspects of customer/supplier relationships.
- Experience with data packages associated with NQA-1 system and component procurements.
- Previous experience in technical interface with engineering groups for review and input to supplier activities.
- Experience defining supplier scope, including development of statements of work and requests for proposal
- Must have experience with project controls and organization, along with tools and processes to support the same.
- A broad understanding of the various engineering disciplines and how they interrelate is important.
- Strong communication skills desired
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect, and have a desire to foster teamwork
- Actual position, starting level, and title will be determined based on assessment of qualifications.
- Travel Required: 0-25% (Can increase as supplier oversight requires).
- Job Type: Contract
- Pay Rate Range: $56-$95/hr (Pay rates are approved based on candidate location, education, and experience)
- Location: Bellevue, WA.
- Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or a protected person status
