Job Responsibilities:
- Perform and contribute to the design and analysis of structural systems
- Apply structural analysis techniques including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Fully understand and apply technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
- Utilize general knowledge of related disciplines to enhance project outcomes
- Develop and provide innovative solutions to wide-ranging technical problems related to structural integrity
- Work under general direction, independently determining and developing approaches to solutions
- Ensure technical excellence across all assigned work
- Collaborate effectively across all technical disciplines to ensure project integration and coherence
- Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers to foster their development
- Frequently communicate with external and internal parties regarding routine business and technical matters
- Ensure alignment and successful project execution across all stakeholders
- Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters 3 yrs experience).
- Typically 5 years of related experience.
- Expertise in structural analysis and general knowledge of related disciplines.
- Complete understanding and application of technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts.
- Ability to provide solutions to wide-ranging technical problems that are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organizational objectives.
- Experience managing discrete technical packages as a Responsible Engineer (RE).
- Capability to work under general direction to independently determine and develop approaches to solutions.
- Ability to work across all technical disciplines.
- TS/SCI Clearance required
- Advanced proficiency with structural analysis and design software (e.g., Nastran, Femap, Ansys).
- Strong familiarity with industry standards and best practices (e.g., ASME, ASTM, AISC).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C ) for custom analysis methods.
- Knowledge of material properties and behavior in aerospace applications, including metallics, composites, and bonded joints.
- Experience with standard fatigue and fracture analysis methods and software (e.g., NASGRO, AFGROW).
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Pay Range: $110,664- $152,184.
- Location: Louisville, CO (Onsite).
- Required US Citizenship -May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance at the appropriate level.
