Position Title: Manual Machinist 2

Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for a Manual Machinist 2 with our client in Everett, Washington.

Job Responsibilities:

• Uses metrics to define standards for productivity, quality, and cost. Incumbent is responsible for meeting all defined standards
• The Manual Machinist 2 is expert on any one of the core machines, including but not limited to:
• Mill
• Lathe
• Hone
• Swage
• Centerless Grinding
• Thread Roll
• Hydraulic Press
• Carbon Fiber
• The Manual Machinist 2 is responsible for mastery of relevant Manual Machinist 1 Essential Functions
• Responsible for training new team members
• Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings (improve time, reduce waste, etc.)
• Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices
• Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.
  
  

Job Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• At least five years’ experience with one of the machines identified
• Experience in a machine shop environment required
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing or other highly regulated industry strongly preferred
• Experience using hand tools and precision measuring equipment
• Strong focus and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong focus on customer service
• Ability to quickly master new business knowledge and technical skills
  
  
  

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract to Hire
• Location: Everett, Washington (Onsite).
• Pay Rate Range: $27-$28/hr.
• ITAR obligations are associated with this role; U.S. Citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status under 8 U.S.C.
