Position Title: Core Components Structural Analyst
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Core Components Structural Analyst opportunity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform stress analysis for Reactor Core Assemblies using FEA and hand calculations.
- Present analysis results to internal and external stakeholders.
- Interface with the Core Component Design team’s engineering design activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary Engineering and Project Teams on requirements and inputs.
- Support continuous learning and application of nuclear industry best practices to maintain the highest quality of engineering design and proactively identify process change/enhancement opportunities.
- Perform peer review to maintain the expected quality standard as per the engineering quality assurance plan.
- Work as a technical point of contact for various focus tasks.
- B.S, M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from accredited university. Aerospace, Nuclear, and Civil Engineering degrees are also considered.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a B.S. degree, or 2 years with an M.S. degree, or 0 years with Ph.D. degree.
- Proficient in finite element stress analysis, mechanical analysis methods and commercial mechanical stress analysis and modeling tools with emphasis on ANSYS and SolidWorks.
- Strong understanding of solid mechanics, fracture mechanics, and fatigue failure.
- Candidates should have demonstrated experience in structural analysis, buckling analysis, thermal analysis, and/or creep fatigue / inelastic analysis.
- Familiarity working under stringent quality assurance requirements such as ASME NQA-1, MIL-Q-9858A, or ISO-9000.
- Working experience with pressure equipment design codes and standards such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III, Div. 1 and 5, Section VIII Div. 2, and API 579-1.
- Experienced with conceptual design and sizing for equipment and structural components through basic calculation and utilizing Mathcad.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative teamwork is highly desired.
- The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
- Job Type: Contract
- Pay Rate Range: $52-$85/hr (Pay rates are approved based on candidate location, education and experience.)
- Location: Bellevue, WA or 100% Remote Acceptable
- Export control regulations require candidates to be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Legal Permanent Resident, or of a protected person status

Salary : $52 - $85
