How You’ll Make an Impact
- Own Project Procurement Plan (PPP) – Build and manage procurement schedules linked to engineering deliverables, PO placement, and shipping windows.
- Risk Management – Anticipate and mitigate delivery risks (supply, geopolitical, logistics, quality) with clear triggers and recovery plans.
- Supplier Relationship Management – Support Category Management in negotiations, monitoring performance, and aligning with global framework agreements and SCM KPIs
- Expediting & On-Time Delivery – Implement tiered expediting plans, conduct shop visits, and track milestones to ensure compliance.
- Logistics Coordination – Partner with TT&L for transportation, customs, and site delivery sequencing; maintain weekly OTD dashboards.
- Supplier Quality Assurance – Coordinate ITPs, FAT/SAT, and NCR closure; ensure compliance with ISO and industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Integration – Act as primary SCM interface; manage change control and communicate commercial risks effectively.
- Reporting & Continuous Improvement – Publish procurement dashboards (OTD, risk heatmaps) and drive supplier quality and KPI reviews
- Integrate SCM into Tender Strategy – Develop sourcing approaches, supplier lists, and should-cost estimates aligned with bid schedule and risk profile.
- Execute RFIs/RFQs – Issue compliant requests per sourcing strategy and provide pricing, lead-time, logistics, and risk inputs for proposals
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in procurement within project environments (EPC, utilities, industrial). Proven track record managing large-scale procurement plans and driving OTD
- 95%.
- Hands-on experience with supplier quality processes and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), scheduling tools (P6/MS Project), and analytics platforms.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
