JOB SUMMARYRegional Sales Manager – Puma Safety Shoes: MidwestResponsible for the sales of Puma Safety Shoe products in the central US region. The regional sales manager will provide ongoing support to the current accounts and aggressively seek new account distribution. This role requires forecasting and planning your territory while driving revenue to meet/exceed goals and objectives. Travel is expected to trade shows both local and regional, sales meetings and accounts. Expect up to 70% travel. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Increase sales within the area of responsibility measured against preset goals. Develops and maintains relationships with retail buyers and/or distribution partners. Acts as a Product Specialist for sales, training and support of our retail sales personnel. Some training may be necessary across the aisle for the PIP industrial sales team and/or their customers.Business development of new distribution partners and collaborative selling at key end users. Develop individual objectives for customer contact for inside sales staff. Accountable for growth of all Puma Safety product portfolio within region. Responsible for driving profitable growth for the accounts within his region. Conduct training sessions for distributors/customers in assigned region. Responsible for the development of and delivery of presentations. Responsible to personally represent the Company at accounts designated as house accounts. Manage the relationship at the field level in accounts designated as national accounts. Responsible for the collection of market intelligence, customer reaction to programs, product field test results, and competitive information. Digital/Virtual skills a must.Extensive travel (40-50 hotel stays) per year REQUIRED SKILLS FOR SUCCESSBachelor’s Degree in related field or a combination of education and experience. 3-5 years’ experience in either Safety Footwear Sales or Footwear Sales with experience calling on Safety/Industrial retailers or distributors. Live within or near assigned region.
