What are the responsibilities and job description for the Party Chief Surveyor position at Protecnium?
About us:
Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services (www.protecnium.com/en). We are currently looking for a Survey Party Chief to join our team for a major construction project in Norfolk, Virginia.
Project scope: Tunnel / Highway / Bridge / Structures
Duration: Estimated 1 year. In general, when a project ends, we aim to relocate employees to other assignments to provide continuity.
Responsibilities:
- Stakeout points on site
- Monitoring and control of works
- Data collection and reporting
- Leveling and alignment tasks
- Supervision of survey activities to ensure high precision in setting out/checking works, including tasks related to the installation of interior tunnel structures
- Use of specific surveying software
- Operation of Total Station, Level, and GPS equipment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Field Surveyor in high precision setting out/checking works
- Experience in marine works and tunnels (desirable)
- Proficiency with Total Station, Level, GPS, and surveying software
- English language skills (B2/C1 level)
- Valid permit to work in the USA
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 12-hour shifts. Possibility of working some Saturdays.
