Visual Merchandising Specialist
We are seeking a Visual Merchandising Specialist to support the development and execution of in-store visual strategies for a leading retail brand. This role plays a key part in shaping the customer experience through compelling, customer-centric storytelling that translates seamlessly across store environments.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring product assortments to life, enhance brand equity, and drive traffic and conversion through innovative visual merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute visual merchandising presentations that elevate brand storytelling and drive in-store conversion
- Support creative concepting and implementation for large-scale transformation initiatives
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with visual and marketing milestones
- Partner with Merchandising, Creative Marketing, and Visual Communications teams to deliver cohesive in-store experiences
- Translate product assortments into visually compelling presentations that align with brand strategy
- Analyze fashion, beauty, and retail trends to inform forward-thinking visual strategies
- Conduct store visits to assess execution, identify customer needs, and recommend enhancements
- Lead virtual store design programming and develop merchandising strategies across various store formats (majority of role focus)
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in visual merchandising, retail, or related field
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of product positioning and visual storytelling strategies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop preferred)
- Experience with IWD or similar merchandising/space planning software preferred
Preferred Experience
- Retail, fashion, or beauty industry experience
- Exposure to virtual store design or space planning tools
- Experience supporting multi-store or large-scale retail environments
- Hybrid (Reynoldsburg, OH)
