Technical Designer – Apparel Intimates
Location: Manhattan, NY (Onsite 4-5 days per week)
Are you a skilled Technical Designer with a keen eye for fit, construction, and detail? Do you have experience conducting fittings, writing precise fit comments, and making pattern corrections? If so, we want to hear from you!
What You’ll Do:
- Own the technical design process from initial development through to final fit approvals.
- Analyze and evaluate garment construction to establish accurate fit specifications.
- Ensure product development aligns with fit quality standards, cost targets, and manufacturer capabilities.
- Develop and maintain technical specifications, tech packs, and detailed fit comments, providing clear direction to vendors and factories.
- Collaborate closely with factories, making necessary adjustments to maintain design integrity while optimizing for quality and pricing.
- Oversee and guide Assistant or Associate Technical Designers, providing mentorship and expertise.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ 5 years of technical design experience in apparel and/or intimates.
✔ Strong expertise in garment fitting, pattern corrections, and tech pack creation.
✔ Experience conducting or leading fit sessions and writing clear, actionable fit comments.
✔ Proficiency in Centric PLM, Flex PLM, Adobe Illustrator, and Excel.
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or equivalent industry experience.
✔ Ability to work onsite in Manhattan, NY (4-5 days per week).
